For some reason my attempt to get them to smile for these pictures was useless. We couldn't find a smile anywhere!!! Maybe you've seen our smiles they seem to be missing.............

Showering Friends

This was a fun and busy weekend. On Saturday I helped host a Kitchen Shower Brunch for a dear friend's daughter. The tables were beautifully set. Here's a peek at the Kitchen table all ready for dining.

We had the most delicious food. Breakfast casserole, quiche, fruit, Lemon Poppy Seed Bread, Blueberry Muffins and this Butter Pecan Coffee Cake!

And the bride to be savoring every moment! We all had a great time and are so thankful to Margaret for opening up her beautiful home for us to shower Meagan with fun gifts and sweet blessings.

The Joys Of Summer Vacation!!!

School is OUT and our summer has begun. We hope to have lots of good times ahead spent with family and friends. Here's to lots of.................... picnics in and out of the house.............

Saturday is Robin's Birthday. We are so very thankful for a wonderful wife and mother.

Our Summer "Kick-Off"

We had our first "official" party to kick off the summer today and I was so busy enjoying myself I only took a few pictures!! In fact we had so much fun that we forgot and didn't cut this delicious watermelon until all of our guests had left. Doesn't watermelon just scream summer!!!!!
We were almost too full after eating this yummy chicken that Paul had smoked all morning. We still managed to force ourselves to endure home made ice cream, Chocolate Layer Cake, Cream Cheese Pound Cake, and Mile High Strawberry Pie!!
Here's a peek at Clara Beth and Geordyn finishing off one of the pies. Don't worry they worked all of those sweets off splashing around in the pool.
After everyone left I found this on the couch and........................
this little fellow went straight to his room and climbed in bed!!! What a way to start the lazy days of summer. We can't wait for more good times with family and friends. Only seven and a half more days until school is OUT!!!! Let's just say that we are more than a little excited about that!!

Today is our 25th anniversary. It's hard to believe how quickly time passes. Our lives have changed so much and every day just keeps getting better and better. We have been so blessed.

Back to the Beach!!!!

We've just returned from a long weekend at the beach!! We had so much fun over spring break we couldn't wait to go back. We left Thursday afternoon full of excitement. Anna Kayla joined us on Friday(Greg couldn't make it on this trip). We missed him but we all had a very good time together. It was our anniversary trip. Just like us to take the WHOLE family along!!! Here's a little group hug in the sand!

May 12th is a special day at our house. It's Paul's birthday! Happy birthday sweet husband and great dad!! I am so blessed to have a husband whose favorite thing in the world is spending time with his family. Here are just a few glimpses of him doing what he loves.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Mother's Day like I did. Here's the beautiful pin and card that Emanuiel made for me. Can you tell he is very proud of his creation.

Clara Beth painted a pretty little pot for me and planted flowers in it at Mrs. Dawn's house. Her card matched her pot.

Two of my four sweeties. We all celebrated together with lunch at our house. I didn't have to do much, most of my preparation took place on Saturday. Afterwards Paul was on clean up duty and he did a great job!! It was a wonderful day that was even made more special because Emanuiel was dedicated during our morning church service.

We are enjoying the first roses from our yard. This particular rose bush was a gift to Paul on the first Valentine's Day after we were married. We have uprooted it and moved it with us three times. It is almost 25 years old and each year it has the most beautiful and fragrant roses.
