I am back and honestly I don't know why the long hiatus except that I just didn't feel like blogging, no particular reason, I just didn't do it. I still checked on all of my favorite blogs and even found a few new ones. I just didn't post anything but life continued to move right along often times faster that I wanted it to and the thing I regret most about that is that I didn't record things here for me to remember. So hopefully I am back and will continue because there is much to tell after all this is Our Family's Journey! and so it begins again...
and what better place to start than Christmas! Lots of pictures so if anyone is still out there reading grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!
Our side porch is all outfitted for the season and since the weather has been so warm here lately we could actually enjoy a snack out there,
This year we had a special request for "playground" lights (colored lights) to cover something at our house so Paul took off to the store and came home with three strands to decorate a tree in our front yard. When it was finished Clara Beth suggested we have a tree lighting ceremony after which we had to sing Oh Christmas Tree!
Inside that door are two children that are very excited about Christmas.
This little bird just makes me smile...
and if our unseasonably warm weather continues these little fellows just might melt!
The decorations have spilled over into all of the rooms in the house.
This little tree has a special spot in Clara Beth and Emanuiel's room.
The hall bath got a little decoration too.
My favorite pieces of the nativity set that Paul's mom made for me so many years ago always have a special place in the dining room.
Our tree in the corner.
Our mantle where the stockings are hung.
Another very special Nativity set that came from Sri Lanka.
A bowl of shiny Christmas balls and hopefully much more fun and festivities to come like...
lots of sipping of hot chocolate and other ...
delicious drinks that just make this holiday even merrier!
Maybe even a night out with my favorite and lots more time spent with...
these guys and my sweet Anna Kayla and her family. Unfortunately this is a new computer and I don't have any pictures of them on here right now! All the more reason to post again soon because my sweet little Lillianna is absolutely adorable!!
Until next time...
Enjoy the season and may your every moment be filled with joy!
I will be glad, yes, filled with joy because of You.
I will sing Your praises, O Lord God.
