Rainy Days and Mondays..............

Yes, that Carpenter’s song was running through my mind today. And what a Monday it was. After one frantic call to our pediatrician’s office about a head injury while exiting the car today(yes, that is correct), a little girl that has decided that “no” she does not want to wear big girl panties anymore, and a husband that is in bed with a fever I felt that Land and I needed a little escape. So here it is in the form of luscious, liquid chocolate!!!!!!!!!!!!! Warm and yummy for our tummy, topped off with whipped cream, cinnamon and chocolate shavings. I could just feel the day melting away right along with the whipped cream.
Once my cup was empty it was back to reality and the all important question of "What's for dinner???? I decided "simple" it would be..... so ham and cheese omelets, buttery grits and bacon were on the menu. Paul is our resident "breakfast" guy, but since he was under the weather it was all up to me. This was a quick and easy meal that was also enjoyed by Anna Kayla(Greg is on a Mission Trip to Costa Rica right now)so we have been blessed with her company a lot since last Friday!!! After every one's tummies were full it was off for baths and bedtime. Now everyone is all tucked in and asleep and I am headed in that same direction. I can still hear the rain as it falls.......................Good sleeping weather!!
Until next time.......................
You drench the plowed ground with rain,
melting the clods and leveling the ridges.
You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops.
Psalm 66:10
So too soften and bless us with Your Spirit Lord.
Please pray that everyone is back up to speed very soon in our house.
Emanuiel's huge goose egg has gone down on his head but it is going to be an ugly bruise. Clara Beth will hopefully LOVE her new panties tomorrow and will decide that "yes" she does want to wear them. Thankfully she is still using the potty, she just chooses to wear a diaper now so she won't have an accident and wet her yeggs as she calls them. Paul is NEVER sick so he must get better because, like I said in my earlier post, Thanksgiving is at our house and there is "MUCH" to do!!!!!!

Thank you for the supportive comment and the wise words. I’m sorry that your first trip (or comment) to my blog had to be in response to such a crappy post. I’m not sure what’s running through my head lately. I’m just so overwhelmed. Are there any specific verses you would recommend in addition to Psalm 16:8? I could use the positive reading.

I don’t know if I have said this before but your children have the most beautiful names. I’ll be praying for Paul and hoping he feels better! That hot chocolate sounds wonderful and I could have used a big cup yesterday. Sometimes living in Florida is a bit confusing as today it’s already back into the mid 70s. Yesterday I was wearing long johns. (I’m a southern girl, temps under 50 in my book are considered ski weather)

Happy Thanksgiving.

God ~ Bless
