Some Cuteness and a Question

Who would have ever thought that brushing your teeth could be so much fun!!
Taking turns with the toothpaste.

Brushing away!!!

Need a little more toothpaste!!!

I don't think there's anymore in here. I guess we're done now! Time for bed!!!
Just a quick question for all of you that visit our blog..................On our trip to China(and back) we racked up quite a few frequent flier miles which we plan to use for a fun vacation next summer(or sooner). We are trying to decide where in the continental U.S. to go. I would love suggestions for fun, fabulous, child friendly destinations so if you have one please leave a comment and tell us where you think we should go. Even though we LOVE Disney World(numerous trips there and we will be returning very soon) we want to use this for something else. We want an adventure somewhere we have never been before!! So please bring on those suggestions we have to make a decision very soon!
Until next time may God bless you abundantly today......................and always.
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine upon us.
Psalm 67:1
Robin

Family vacations are the best! We have two favorites.

San Diego was great fun. We loved the San Diego zoo where we were so close to Pandas (with no separating glass) and saw animals not at most zoos. There was also a free puppet show at the zoo and lots of other neat things (like hand feeding giraffe). The kids enjoyed building sand castles at the beach. The carousel at Balboa Park is gorgeous and the mini train was also a big hit. Ruby's 50s diner was great fun (someone went table to table making balloon animals for the kids). But the absolute best was the Wild Animal Park. Amazing! Far less crowded than the zoo and it is as close to an African safari as you can get without immunizations and a visa. Some of the enclosures are big enough that the animals actually migrate through them-- spending different parts of the year in different sections. Rhinos walking along beside giraffe... The petting section has African deer you can feed and pet. The kids loved it, the parents loved it, we would all love to go back. We didn't go to Sea World or Lego Land but we did have a very brief stop in some mission living history areas with artisans and all kinds of neat stuff.

Another huge hit was Washington, DC. The kids (our youngest is about the same age as your little ones and we have one a few years older) loved it. Our youngest was in awe of the tiny moon rock at Air and Space and touched it over and over. The Washington Monument and FDR memorial were a big hit. Peddle boats on the tidal basin in front of the Jefferson memorial, Marine One buzzing by over head. A side trip to Mt. Vernon caught both kids' imagination far more than I ever would have expected. Flying kites on the mall by the Washington Monument. It was very Norman Rockwell, very educational and just plain fun.

I hope you find a destination that sparks your imagination and you all have a wonderful time planning, anticipating and enjoying the trip!

Here I go again! Trying to do this before your blog is up from last night, so I can practice. Want you to know how much your blog means to me. It gives me hope that one day we will be back to normal and be able to take family trips together and have more good times. You have already inspired me to do more cooking, real cooking. I made chicken divan the other night and Hannah wanted to eat by candlelight, so we lite the candles on the fall arrangement on the table. It was a special time. I'm trying really hard to make those times even though I am limited in what I can do and I know for the next year I'll be out of commission. So know that your blog is a testimony for some of us and give us hope for the future, no matter how limited that future may be. I am very lucky to have you for my dear friend. Your blog will get me through this next year because it will help me see a light at the end of the tunnel. Love you bunches, PM

I am not sure I can suggest anyplace. San Diego is really great. We seem to have fun on the vacations we have the lowest expectations of. I'd say go somewhere warm this winter.
